Every year, many Film Festivals take place around the globe, from the hugely prestigious global festivals, such as Banff, to the smaller local showcases.

The South West Film Festival aims to cover the best of the best, as well as the films from the local amateur adventurers. Anyone can submit a film for entry into the film competition, and if our panel agree, your film could be on show at the SWFF!

Best Non-Climbing Film

Best Short Film (under 5 minutes)

Best Adrenaline Film

Cinema Screen Showing

Some of our films are available on DVD, so why see them again? We are offering you the chance to see the films on the big screen, with cinema sound and a big audience atmosphere. The way adventure and mountin films were meant to be seen!

Mountain Rescue

Our ongoing work to raise money for Mountain Rescue England, Scotland and Wales continues at the Fest this year. We have currently raised around Ł10,000 and hope to increase this again with the Hard Rock Festival and the South West Film Festival.
